Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in”.

Why Volunteer?
There are many reasons why you may decide to do volunteer work. They can be personal, professional, community or social.
Who can become a volunteer at the Centre?
Individuals who strongly identify with the Centre's mission and seek a supportive community. They aim to combat isolation, find purpose, engage with fellow members and staff. These volunteers are women driven to improve their families' and society's well-being.
Volunteers contribute based on their interests. Opportunities range from document translation, serving on the governing board, leading workshops and groups, organizing events, handling office duties, to participating in collective advocacy for women's interests within a framework of social change.
Our volunteers play a crucial role in advancing the Centre's mission, which is to foster social, economic, and political empowerment for women from a feminist and inclusive standpoint.
Interested in becoming a volunteer? Complete the volunteer application form and email it to adjointe@cfse.ca or drop it off at the Centre during business hours. The volunteer coordinator will follow up with you.
