Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in”.
There are many reasons why you may decide to do volunteer work. They can be personal, professional, community or social.
Members who have a strong sense of belonging to the mission of the Centre. They are looking for a space where they can break their isolation, feel useful, keep busy with other members and workers. They are women who want to have an impact on the living conditions of their families, and society.
Volunteers get involved and participate according to their interests. The tasks are varied, for example, translation of documents, being part of the governing board, facilitation of workshops and groups, organization and preparation of activities and events, office tasks, as well as collective actions to defend and promote the interests of women in a perspective of social change.
Thanks to our volunteers, the Center continues in its mission to work from a feminist and united perspective towards the improvement of social, economic, and political conditions for women.
