As part of The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, the Centre des femmes solidaires et engagées is organizing a candlelight vigil and silent march on the Promenade Fleury, Tuesday, December 6th, to commemorate the anniversary of the murders in 1989 of 14 young women at l’École Polytechnique de Montréal, and to honour missing and murdered indigenous women and women who are victims or survivors of violence.
Time : 6pm
Starting point : 1586, Fleury Street East, suite 100 (Centre des femmes solidaires et engagées)
End point : Parc Ahuntsic (Millen/Fleury East)
Speeches and personal testimonies will be shared during the march. After the march, everyone is welcomed back to the Centre for hot beverages and refreshments. Join us, welcome to all!
